Save Money on College Expenses by Renting Textbooks

July 19, 2012 · 4 comments

Are you a college student looking to save a little money on your college expenses this coming school year? If so, you should consider renting your textbooks instead of buying them. I found this great website called Campus Book Rentals that can save you tons of money on all your textbooks. This website has the largest selection of college textbooks in the nation, so you are sure to find what you are looking for all in one place.

Campus Book Rentals offers savings of up to 40% – 90% off bookstore prices. Those kinds of deals can add up to hundreds of dollars in savings each year. Go HERE and see an example of just how much you could be saving. Plus, Campus Book Rentals offers free shipping, so you don’t have to worry about shipping costs. You even get free shipping when you return your books at the end of your rental period.

Another thing I love about Campus Book Rentals is that you can highlight important material in the books. Highlighting in your textbooks can be a helpful and effective way to keep track of the material we learn in our classes. Having this option is a definite perk to renting your books from Campus Book Rentals.

Campus Book Rentals also offers flexible rental periods. You can choose from a semester (130 days), a quarter (85 days), a summer (55 days), or you can pick your own return date. They even have a 30 day risk free guarantee where you can return your books for any reason for a full refund.

Want to know more about Campus Book Rentals? Here’s a great FAQ’s video:

If those aren’t enough reasons to rent your college textbooks from Campus Book Rentals, you can also consider the fact that they donate a portion of their earnings to the Operation Smile organization. Operation Smile is a wonderful charity that performs cleft lips surgeries for kids and families in need. These surgeries are often life changing for the kids and helps to greatly improve their quality of life.

To find out more about Campus Book Rentals head on over to their website and try them for yourself. You can also follow them on Facebook and on Twitter.

this is a great tip! My kids have awhile before hitting college age but I remember always buying used books and then selling them back to the university book store while going through college. Thank you for sharing!

I rent every textbook I can, and it’s made the cost drop dramatically. But it’s even cheaper to get the e-book and put it on a tablet many times.
